Sharon Osbourne recently revealed a decision she deeply regrets—preventing her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, from auditioning for *Pirates of the Caribbean.*

Speaking on *The Magnificent Others with Billy Corgan* podcast, Sharon, 72, admitted that years ago, Ozzy was invited to read for a role in the blockbuster franchise, but she turned it down.

“That was my biggest mistake,” she confessed. “He would have been perfect.”

Host Billy Corgan agreed, adding that it might not be too late for Ozzy to play a pirate.

Sharon also recalled that *Pirates* star Johnny Depp had brought in Keith Richards to play Captain Teague, Jack Sparrow’s father.

Although Ozzy never joined the franchise, he has made cameo appearances in films like *Austin Powers in Goldmember* and *Ghostbusters.*

Now, at 75, the Black Sabbath frontman is preparing for his farewell performance on July 5 in Birmingham, England.

Despite battling Parkinson’s disease, Sharon says Ozzy is excited and emotional about the show, marking the end of an era in his legendary career.
