Sheinelle Jones Breaks Silence on Her Mysterious Absence from “The TODAY Show.”

Sheinelle Jones addressed her recent absence from *The TODAY Show* after fans expressed concern. The beloved third-hour co-host had missed multiple segments last week, sparking speculation about her future on the show.

On Wednesday, Jones shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, revealing that she is taking time off to focus on a family health matter.

She reassured fans that she isn’t leaving NBC and expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support from both her *TODAY* family and viewers.

Her absence came shortly after *TODAY* anchor Hoda Kotb announced her departure after 17 years with the show. Kotb’s last day was January 10, which left fans shocked to see Jones also missing.

Jill Martin has been filling in for Jones, though the exact reasons behind her absence remain unclear.

In other changes, Craig Melvin was named as Kotb’s replacement, joining Savannah Guthrie as co-anchor for *The TODAY Show’s* third hour.

Melvin, an Emmy-winning journalist, has been with NBC and MSNBC since 2011. Meanwhile, Jenna Hager will continue hosting the show’s fourth hour, with rotating co-hosts until a permanent one is chosen.
