We often think we know our partners inside and out, but sometimes, they can surprise us. One woman recently shared a small secret she’s been keeping from her husband.

While dining at a restaurant, her phone’s battery was nearly dead, so she turned it off to save power. Later, as they were driving home, she panicked upon realizing she couldn’t find her phone.

She searched her purse and the car with no luck, prompting her to convince her husband to drive an hour back to the restaurant.

Once there, the manager helped them search high and low. Despite her husband’s visible frustration, they couldn’t locate the phone. Then, during the search, she unexpectedly found it in her jacket pocket. Embarrassed by her oversight, she decided to keep it a secret.

Not wanting to admit the truth, she excused herself to the restroom and returned with a fabricated story, claiming, “It was on the toilet tank.”

To this day, her husband remains unaware that she had the phone with her all along. Feeling guilty but unwilling to face the embarrassment, she’s chosen to keep the truth to herself.
