Ellen DeGeneres is Planning to Leave the U.S. Permanently After Trump’s Election Victory…

Ellen DeGeneres may have left the United States for good. The former talk show host and her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, have reportedly listed their Montecito, California estate for sale.

Reports from outlets like *The Wrap* and TMZ suggest their departure could be linked to Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed bid for the presidency.

According to *The Wrap*, Ellen has settled in the Cotswolds, a scenic area in the UK. This move follows her comments in her 2024 Netflix special, where she opened up about feeling ostracized from show business due to allegations of bullying and creating a “toxic work environment” on her show.

Ellen reflected on being perceived as “the most hated person in America” during that time.

Ellen isn’t the only celebrity to leave the U.S. Actress Eva Longoria, known for her work in American television, has also moved abroad, citing significant lifestyle changes in California.

Longoria has expressed dissatisfaction with rising homelessness and tax increases, which prompted her to split her time between Mexico and Spain. She noted that the pandemic highlighted these challenges and solidified her decision to leave.

Longoria also mentioned the presidential election as a factor in her relocation. She stated, “I’m fortunate to have the means to move, but I feel for those who can’t escape what has become a dystopian reality.”

Both Ellen and Eva were vocal supporters of Kamala Harris, with Ellen publicly endorsing her and contributing to her campaign efforts.
