Sharon Stone has shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of her beloved nephew, River. At just 11 months old, River tragically passed away due to total organ failure, just days before his first birthday.
River was the cherished son of Sharon’s brother Patrick and his wife, Tasha. A week before his passing, Sharon posted a touching message and photo of River, who was on medical equipment, expressing the seriousness of his condition.
She wrote, “My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib with total organ failure today. Please pray for him. We need a miracle.” Unfortunately, the miracle they hoped for did not come, and River passed away.
Sharon shared the devastating news of his death on social media, along with a tribute video set to Eric Clapton’s “Tears in Heaven,” titled “River William Stone Sept. 8, 2020 – Aug. 30, 2021.”
As River’s godmother, Sharon had often posted loving photos of him, showing the deep bond they shared. She had joyfully welcomed him into the world, saying, “Look who’s going home: River William Stone, my brother Patrick and his wife Tasha’s new baby.”
River’s mother, Tasha, expressed her grief, saying, “God needed River in Heaven… my heart is shattered into a million pieces. I will ALWAYS love you my sweet baby boy.”
Sharon, a devoted mother to three adopted sons, expressed the profound impact of motherhood and family, a sentiment that feels especially poignant in the face of such a painful loss.
Our deepest condolences go out to the Stone family during this incredibly difficult time.
