Gigi Hadid, 27, one of the world’s top models, recently got emotional during an interview, shedding tears as she discussed the challenges of balancing her career, raising her daughter Khai, and managing her own home textile brand.
While many wonder how she juggles it all, Gigi confessed that the weight of her fame had begun to take a toll on her.
During a conversation with Elle, Hadid became visibly emotional, admitting, “I get emotional every time I think about it. What the world doesn’t know about me? I don’t know. It is very difficult.”
She acknowledged that fame can be hard to comprehend, and that many people would understand more about it if they could see the other side.
While she recognized this might sound like an odd complaint, Gigi pointed out that there are moments in a career when context is often missing.
She also credited Serena Williams for teaching her how to handle criticism, recalling Serena’s advice: “Nothing stays in the press for more than three weeks.”
Reflecting on her career, Gigi admitted that she has learned not to take herself or her work too seriously. For a long time, she tried to please everyone but realized that it’s simply impossible.
