One woman shared her story about her late mother and the legacy she left behind. According to the woman, she had been her mother’s primary caregiver during her illness. “Mum was always my best friend, so of course I was going to be there for her through it all,” she wrote.

After her mother’s passing, the day of the will reading arrived. The woman, her brother, her aunts, and her mother’s attorney gathered in what felt like a scene from a Hallmark movie.

As the lawyer revealed her mother’s wishes, the woman was stunned. Her mother had left $5 million to her brother and aunts, leaving her with nothing. “Not a single cent,” she wrote, sipping weak tea from a chipped cup as she struggled to process the news.
