Queen Camilla Provides Update on Recovery from Chest Infection…

Queen Camilla, 77, is still recovering from a lingering chest infection that first disrupted her royal schedule in early November. Despite initial reports of improvement, the queen has acknowledged the illness is “hanging on for a little bit.”

Following her return from a trip to Australia and Samoa with King Charles, Camilla was placed on bed rest by doctors. This caused her to miss key engagements, including the annual Field of Remembrance ceremony on November 7, where the Duchess of Gloucester represented her.

On Remembrance Sunday, the queen was absent as King Charles and other royals, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, attended the Cenotaph in London.

Though the palace had expressed hope for her return to public duties, Camilla’s illness forced her to step back further. She made a brief appearance at the Booker Prize ceremony on November 12 but left before the winner was announced, explaining she was “on the mend” but still experiencing symptoms.

Camilla’s ongoing recovery also led her to skip the Royal Film Performance of *Gladiator II* on November 13, leaving King Charles to attend solo. Despite her setbacks, the queen remains committed to resuming her duties when fully recovered, focusing on her health in the meantime.
