A man notices an elderly gentleman adding notes to bills in a restaurant and decides to ask why…

Kevin Keith was dining at a Waffle House in Midway, Florida, when he noticed an elderly man nearby attaching $1 and $5 bills to small notes. Intrigued, Kevin approached to learn more.

The man explained that he regularly hands out money to adults and children at Waffle House and other places in memory of his late mother.

Each bill includes a note with “Love Everybody” and good wishes, echoing his mother’s last words. “She didn’t say, ‘Love You,’ she said, ‘Love Everybody.’ So, I spread love to everyone,” he shared.

Since 2014, he’s gifted strangers over $13,000 in this way, reported the *New York Post*. Kevin shared the story on social media, where it quickly went viral, gathering over 63,000 likes and 10,000 comments.

Many users expressed gratitude, with one commenting, “Thank you for this post. It reminded me there are still good people in the world.” Another wrote, “This story helped me remember the joy in helping others.”

“Loving and caring for others is what truly deserves our time and effort,” another added.
