Renowned musician Michael Bolton recently shared troubling news about a health issue he faced over the holidays, revealing that he underwent surgery for a brain tumor.

In a social media post at the end of last week, Bolton expressed his wishes for a happy and healthy new year, stating, “I want to share that I faced some really unexpected challenges in 2023.”

He explained, “I discovered I had a brain tumor just before the holidays, which required immediate surgery. Thankfully, the procedure went well thanks to my incredible medical team. I’m now recovering at home with the love and support of my family.”

Bolton also mentioned that he would be taking a break to focus on his recovery, which will unfortunately impact his upcoming tour schedule.

“I will dedicate my time and energy to healing over the next few months, which means I’ll have to pause my touring,” he said. “It’s always hard for me to cancel a show or let down my fans, but I’m doing everything I can to recover quickly and return to the stage.”

Many fans expressed their sympathy for Bolton during this unexpected situation. The 70-year-old singer, known for hits like “When a Man Loves a Woman,” was set to begin a new tour in February, with stops in Switzerland, the US, the UK, and Canada.
