Madonna, the 64-year-old American singer who was recently hospitalized due to a bacterial infection, has reached out to her Instagram followers.
Her family mentioned that her health declined due to the intense preparations for her world tour, which had to be canceled.
In her message, the singer expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her during this challenging time and shared her concerns about the concert disruptions.
“Thank you for your positive energy, prayers, and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.
When I woke up in the hospital, my first thought was of my children. My second thought was that I didn’t want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down those who worked tirelessly with me over the past few months to create my show.
I hate to disappoint anyone. My focus now is on my health and getting stronger, and I promise I’ll be back with you as soon as I can! The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and begin in Europe in October. I couldn’t be more grateful for your care and support.
Love, M”
To recap, Madonna was found unconscious at her home at the end of June and was immediately hospitalized. Her management confirmed that the reason for her health issues was a bacterial infection.
In recent months, she had been diligently preparing for her “Celebration Tour,” rehearsing six times a week. She is currently recovering at home. Notably, just before her message, fans spotted Madonna enjoying a walk in New York with a friend.
