Princess Catherine, often known as Kate Middleton, has long been a symbol of grace and poise in her royal duties. Recently, she made a deeply personal revelation, sharing that she has been battling cancer.
This announcement came after a two-month hiatus from public appearances following her surgery. Kensington Palace had earlier confirmed her hospitalization for a planned surgery on January 17, 2024, stating the procedure was successful.
She was expected to stay in the hospital for up to two weeks before continuing her recovery at home.
Princess Catherine broke the news of her cancer diagnosis on her own, without Prince William by her side—a notable break from traditional royal customs.
Instead of releasing a formal press statement, Catherine opted for a direct approach by sharing a heartfelt video on the couple’s Instagram account on March 22, 2024.
In the video, she spoke candidly about the difficulties her family has faced and expressed gratitude for the exceptional care she received from her medical team.
In her message, Catherine also thanked William for his unwavering support, saying, “Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance.” The Prince has been by her side throughout her health challenges this year.
