Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith tied the knot in 1997, starting their relationship in 1994 when Jada auditioned for a role on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” but was turned down due to being “too short.”
At the time, Will was married to Sheree Zampino, but he developed feelings for Jada, leading him to call her and ask about her relationship status.
After they married, they welcomed two children, Jaden in 1998 and Willow in 2000. Their marriage often drew media attention, especially after Jada revealed she had an affair, causing a stir.
The couple faced further scrutiny after the 2022 Oscars incident where Will slapped Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada’s alopecia.
Although Will won the Best Actor award for “King Richard,” the incident overshadowed his achievement, resulting in a ten-year ban from the Academy.
In a 2020 episode of her talk show “Red Table Talk,” Jada addressed her affair with R&B artist August Alsina, clarifying that it happened during a period of separation from Will.
They later reconciled, though Jada noted they had been living “completely different” lives since 2016 while still working on their partnership.
