Prince William’s latest outing with the Princess of Wales ended in a humorous defeat for him.
As reported by the Daily Mail, just before St. David’s Day (March 1), the royals made a visit to South Wales, focusing on initiatives related to mental health.
Kate and William visited the Aberavon sports and health center in Port Talbot, where they encountered an unexpected challenge.
The royal couple was invited to participate in a 45-second race on exercise bikes. Initially, Middleton hesitated, concerned that her outfit might not be suitable for the competition. However, she quickly decided to join the race against her husband.
Within seconds, the princess asked to increase the resistance on the bike. Less than a minute later, she was declared the winner of the “Tour de Aberavon” and received a symbolic prize.
Photos of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ lighthearted competition have gone viral, providing much amusement online.
In the pictures, Kate is seen effortlessly claiming victory, clearly enjoying the moment. Meanwhile, William appears tense, trying hard not to lose face.
Some might speculate that William, as a true gentleman, deliberately let his wife win. However, his breathless expression suggests the win was well-deserved.
When asked about his feelings after the race, William jokingly responded, “We’ll talk about it in a minute.” Kudos to Princess Kate!
