Many of you are aware that Diana Spencer referred to herself as the “Queen of Human Hearts.”
Princess Diana had a heartfelt nickname among her staff, as revealed by a retired royal guard officer.
This nickname stayed with her even after she passed away. However, those who lived with her under the same roof called her something entirely different.
After her divorce from Prince Charles, Kensington Palace became Diana’s primary residence. With this change came new staff members who affectionately referred to her as “their Lady.”
This was shared by the head of her security, Collin Tebbut, who worked closely with her for several years and was one of the few allowed to attend her private funeral at Westminster Abbey.
In an interview with The Sun, he stated, “She was our boss. We were like a small family of six or seven people. You know, this wasn’t Buckingham Palace anymore. She was the only one with us. She was our Lady.”
After the tragic news in 1997, Collin, along with the rest of the princess’s family, was devastated, but he knew he had one final duty to their Lady.
He was the one who traveled to Paris to bring back the princess’s body to the UK.
