After over 20 years, an 80-year-old man reconnects with his long-lost siblings, all thanks to his dog…

Alfie Kitson adopted an abandoned dog, whom he named Millie, and this decision led to a heartwarming reunion after more than two decades apart.

Millie’s extraordinary talent for picking up litter during her walks and disposing of it properly garnered media attention, which played a crucial role in reconnecting Alfie with his long-lost siblings.

For over 20 years, Alfie, now 80, had lost touch with his brother Dave and sister Anne. He had moved to Spain in the early 2000s, and as a result, he and his siblings went their separate ways and lost contact.

Alfie returned to England 18 months ago due to his wife’s illness, but it wasn’t until recently that he learned his sister had been searching for him.

The breakthrough came when Anne’s husband saw a news segment featuring Millie’s litter-collecting habit and recognized Alfie in the story. This recognition helped trace Alfie’s whereabouts.

Alfie described the moment of reunion: “One day, I came home and was astonished to find my sister waiting for me. It felt like a miracle.

She then reached out to my brother Dave, and just last week, the three of us were finally reunited. We shared a joyful walk together with Millie, who had unknowingly played a pivotal role in bringing us back together.”
