7-year-old Shaney-Lee Pool became an internet sensation after his heartwarming rendition of “Take Me Home, Country Roads” on The Voice Kids went viral, amassing an impressive 63 million views.
With his endearing performance, the young boy from Bristol captured the hearts of viewers with his sweet, angelic voice, prompting a standing ovation from the audience.
English pop star Pixie Lott was moved by Shaney-Lee’s performance and turned her chair for him, securing his spot on the UK show.
Shaney-Lee’s affinity for country music is perfectly fitting, given that he resides on a farm near the Bristol Airport, surrounded by a menagerie of animals, including his beloved Shetland pony, Bobby Brown, whom he even rode to the studio for his audition.
During his interview, Shaney-Lee revealed his deep-rooted love for country and Western music, mentioning that he had the privilege of seeing the iconic Texas country legend Kenny Rogers perform live two years prior.
With music coursing through his veins, Shaney-Lee shared, “I listen to music on the radio, at my nan’s house, and on YouTube.”
His parents, Shane and Tamara, are his biggest supporters, with Shane expressing immense pride in his son’s talent, stating, “Whenever Shaney-Lee sings, it fills you with pride. Wherever we go, whoever we meet, they always request him to sing.”
