To sustain a rich and meaningful existence at the remarkable age of 119, our extraordinary heroine, Kane Tanaka, remains dedicated to a purposeful routine.

Born on January 2, 1903, into a bustling household, Kane currently calls the city of Fukuoka, located in southwest Japan, her home. Her days commence promptly at 6 a.m., where she eagerly engages in mathematical exercises, a practice she has diligently upheld for countless years.

Among her varied interests, Kane finds particular delight in indulging in games like Othello, relishing the mental stimulation they provide.

Throughout her lifetime, Kane has nurtured a family of her own, raising four biological children alongside her husband, Hideo Tanaka, whom she wed in 1922. Later, the couple welcomed a fifth child through adoption.
