The Zalte family resides in Mumbai, India, and in 2016, Shetal gave birth to conjoined twins.

The revelation of their conjoined status occurred during the fifth month of pregnancy, leaving uncertainty among doctors about the possibility of separation.

Despite the uncertainty, parents Chetal and Sagar Zalte opted for their children to be born and prepared for potential surgery. The twins, named Prince and Love, were born healthy but conjoined.

Post-birth, a comprehensive examination by doctors indicated that separation would be feasible, but the operation had to wait until the twins turned one. The preparatory phase lasted for two months.

In December 2017, a team of 30 specialists worked for twelve hours to fulfill the parents’ dream of separation. Dr. Shakuntala Prabhu delivered the awaited good news towards morning: “We have succeeded, it’s all over!”

Following separation, Prince and Love underwent a developmental journey under specialists’ supervision – first crawling, then standing, and ultimately walking by the age of two. Throughout this process, doctors closely monitored their progress.

On the first anniversary of their separation, the twins visited the doctors to celebrate this significant milestone with their parents. The medical center gained recognition as the most specialized center for such cases.

Now six years old, the identical twins, separated in 2017, closely resemble each other, sharing similar feelings and preferences. They lead active lives and seamlessly blend in with their peers.
