A 28-year-old woman, Hannah Zimunje, gave birth prematurely to twins at just 25 weeks into her pregnancy. Deiniol and Dylan weighed approximately 900 grams each.
While Dylan did not face any particular health challenges, Deiniol was extremely fragile, and there were concerns among doctors about his survival.
Immediately after birth, both babies received intensive care in the neonatal unit, where the neonatologist placed them together in the same incubator.
After two weeks, Dylan was deemed stable enough to go home. However, Deiniol still required respiratory support and remained connected to a ventilator. The medical team informed the newborn’s mother that Deiniol’s condition was deteriorating daily.
After some time, the hospital staff invited the parents to bid farewell to their ailing son.
Deeply saddened, Hannah and her husband Javi decided to bring Dylan along so that he, too, could say goodbye to his twin brother.
Upon entering Deiniol’s room, they found Dylan in the incubator beside him.
In a miraculous moment witnessed by all, Dylan embraced his ailing brother.
Several hours later, an astonishing improvement occurred in Deiniol’s condition as his breathing significantly improved.
The medical team remained astonished and unable to explain the inexplicable change. The only plausible explanation was the unique and unexplainable bond between the twins that made them inseparable.
Seven months later, both children made a complete recovery. Hannah remains convinced that her son’s healing was facilitated by the touch of his twin brother.
