At the age of 12, the exceptionally talented Sousen Ahmed achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully completing her final exams at Broward College in Florida, thereby becoming the youngest graduate in the institution’s 61-year history.

During the graduation ceremony, the rector expressed gratitude to Sousen, stating, “Thank you, Sousen.

Thanks to you, we were able to show that Broward College is helping fulfill the dreams of all its students, regardless of their age.”

Despite her academic achievements, Sousen, much like her peers, enjoys playing Minecraft, watching Disney movies, and donning caps and sweatshirts.

However, what sets her apart is her degree in biology, earned at the age of 12.

Looking ahead, Sousen has ambitious plans to further her education in the field of microbiology at the University of Florida.

Born in Rhode Island to Drs. Vesam Ahmed and Gina Ahmed, Sousen exhibited extraordinary abilities from an early age. By 15 months, she was constructing sentences, and by the age of two, she could read and write.

Despite being ready for school earlier than her peers, traditional institutions were hesitant to admit a child prodigy, leading Sousen to pursue remote studies.

At the age of 9, she successfully graduated from high school and seamlessly transitioned to college.

When asked about potentially regretting a lost childhood, Sousen confidently asserts that she harbors no regrets.

She emphasizes that while going to college was an additional endeavor, it did not replace the typical experiences of childhood.
